The sky is massive, the shoreline speckled with little villages and the mountains in the distance with storms brewing. If a black light is put to the canvas the viewer will see the town light up and the storm rage in the sky.

The underpainting is the map of the NY subway. If one looks closely you can see the outlines of the different stations. What does one find in the Subway. Well I found newspapers from different countries. There are wrappers from candy bars, food chains and a real coke can. This is the Subculture of the subway.

I once flew from Maine to Boston in a small plane. From the sky buildings look like building blocks. Different shapes and sizes being connect by a bridge. Ponte Sulla Baia means Bridge over the Bay.

I live by the sea. When the wind is right you can stand on the water’s edge and see the sailboats go by. Sails on the Bay is an imaginary depiction of an aerial view of a coastal town and its relationship to the sea.

Retro Sections is the pushing and pulling of paint on panel. Textures and layers often make wood, walls and canvases more intriguing. I am fascinated by this process and the results it yields. Mixed Media on Panel.
