Until 2012 I lived in New Jersey. I've lived all over New Jersey but for all of my career I lived in the northeast part of New Jersey, just a stone’s throw away from New York City. In the spring of 2015 I returned to New Jersey to help my friend Teresa pack her things as she was preparing to return to Italy to live.
It was spring and the cherry blossoms were in bloom in Branch Brook Park. I took my camera and started to photograph the park, the trees. Several days later I went into the city driving along the Westside Highway.
When I returned home I started to paint and this is what developed.
